Cook County is more than just Chicago. One great example is the city of Schaumburg which over the past 50 years has transformed from a small farming community into a thriving economic center that is home to more business in Illinois than any other community outside of Chicago. Schaumburg residents can head down to the Farmers Market in the Town Square, take in theater and other shows at the Prairie Center for the Arts, discover fun for the whole family at the Legoland Discovery Center, and enjoy minor league baseball at Boomers Stadium.

Meanwhile, the city of La Grange is known for its great shopping as well as its unique and notable events including the annual Pet Parade, Craft Show, Endless Summerfest, West End Art Festival, Halloween Walk and Holiday Walk. The village of Western Springs offers residents a classical midwest small town feel and both the public and private elementary and high schools offer some of the best education in the state.

Cook County also offers an amazing array of opportunities for nature lovers with miles of pristine beachfront along Lake Michigan. In addition, thanks to the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, bikers, joggers, and walkers can enjoy over 100 miles of paved bicycle trails and over 200 miles of multi-use trails in the forest preserve.
